STATE FINALS NOTES: CP senior Anthony Hawkins (37-4) was unavailable after diagnosed with 'shingles', a viral infection of nerve roots related to chickenpox. CP was also without sophomore 160-pounder Dillon Cope (22-11), but he would have had to have beaten Caveman senior Alex White. . Crown Point is 39-3 over the last two seasons with all three losses coming against Mishawaka, which is 59-1 over the past two seasons. Mishawaka had 9 senior starters. CP had four. The earlier matchup (in December) went to Mishawaka 42-17. The most points scored on Mishawaka all season was by Portage, in a 39-24 loss on DEc. 12.
