Can anyone give me some information on these 2 teams which are from the Hobart area? I am interested in finding out about the Indiana Nitroz and Indiana Cobras 13U teams. Are they looking for players, how are the coaches and does anyone think they will be competitive?

Nitroz are O.K. Not sure who the Cobras are, are they a travel team? If you want competitive look into NWI Shockers or Region RedBirds.

GYLSE Ho-Chunk Weekend tournaments April thru August for age groups 9-18. Five top notch fields, friendly staff, professional grounds crew, covered pavillion, and a parents lounge make Ho Chunk Sports Events some of the most enjoyable youth baseball experiences (from GYLSE site). Ha ha this place is kind of a dump but most of the better area teams play each other here.4/09 - 4/11 is the Season Tip Off Tourny for ages 10,11,12,13,14. Who is going? What do you think of Ho-Chunk facility's ?

Chicago region, and nationally ranked, Norridge Future Elite 13u replaces 3 players from the 2009 season with 2 new players to it's all star roster. First is Nick Dalesandro (Plainfield Warriors,Diamond Dawgs), son of former Chicago White Sox and President of baseball operations at Elite Sports Performance Mark Dalesandro. Nick Dalesandro, #12, brings the heat to the mound, and will add to the seven other pitchers on the team which includes top pitcher Joey Uvelli.Nick plays the infield and outfield equally well. The other pickup is heavy hitter and 3rd baseman Matt Barajas, #2 from the LaGrange Gravel .With a strong bat and a rocket arm Matt will only add to this powerful team. The Future will be playing the AAYBA World Series Champions-West Chester Sluggers Invitational ,Indiana's top rated Indiana Bulls,Macomb Mudhens, and looking forward to the Elite 32 World Series in Orlando ,FL.The Future is now!

I-80,

Cutting and pasting someone else's text without reference is Plagarism. The text above was cut and pasted from a travel ball select feature article.

The 13u talent this year will be fun to watch, I think the verdict is still out on whos the best because some of the strong teams lost some players to other teams, and we haven't seen what the newly formed teams look like. The 13u Playmakers, Triple Crown Titans and the NWI Shockers are a newly formed teams made up of kids from other teams. I do know that these teams have former Redbirds and 3 stud players left The Future from Chicago with Kapers to form their own new Shockers team. And if you paid attention at all last year to Illinois 12u baseball The Future is a awesome team with players 2 deep at every position with atleast 8 very strong pitchers. Speaking of the Redbirds up until last year we heard alot about the now 13u Redbirds, now all we hear about is the now 14u Redbirds. They did not post their schedule last year. Are they going to dominate this year? Or will it be the always tough Chesterton Slammers? Or will a newly formed team take the helm? Overall I think it will be interesting to see the amount of talent in this area, it would be cool to have an allstar team put together from all of these teams. The area needs good solid competiton and I think we have it this year.

I hope these teams will all play each other and not try to avoid each other to protect some silly record, after all this is what travel ball is all about playing the toughest teams and tournaments not going out and playing weaker teams to have this glorious record. What a great opportunity for the kids to play against excellent talent right here in the region and not have to travel all over to play good teams.

It won't change because it's not about the kids like it should be, it's about the ego's of the parents and coaches. That's why more and more kids are changing teams every year. It is unfortunate that there is not a top "elite" team in the region only several average teams when compared to other elite teams in other regions. It's because the parents coach on their kids team to ensure they bat in the top of the lineup and play the positons they want them to play. I think it's embarrasing for the Region that there is not an elite team.

14U Redbirds are playing in Louisville this week-end.

Heard rumors that the 13U team has lost some players due to various reasons.
