They say it is based on need...who's need? the family's or whether or not the private school NEEDS a second basemen or a pitcher or a catcher?
you can't compare privates to public it is comparing apples to oranges and no matter what anyone tries to compare it is not a fair comparison, compare private/charter to private/charter

You're probably right. I'll bet that independent company from Ohio is really a major league baseball scouting service who is in cahoots with Andrean for some mutual benefit. I'm sure Andrean's principal, who borders on genuine dislike for sports, is shelling out cash to this company in hopes that Andrean will be strong up the middle on the baseball diamond for the foreseeable future.

I've heard things about Strayer and Pishkur and Iwema and Miller too. Am I mature enough to not bring my conspiracy theories on here and to not substitute facts with hearsay and secondhand sources? Yup. And that doesn't make me special. People like you are the exception, not me.

Region lighten up....the first part was a joke :P

But second part is the real indicator.....compare them to other similar schools in all aspects, they should be better.

I'm sorry I came off as overly harsh. A lot of it was just sarcasm but that can be hard to convey without facial expressions and voice inflection. Anyway, I agree they are not real easy to compare because private, charter, and public schools all have different advantages. Unfortunately, we almost have to compare them nonetheless. There are no all private conferences or classes so fans and local media are forced to compare all the teams in the area (for example, they compare basketball teams when they rank the top ten in the Region) and all the teams in a given class are compared with state wide rankings. And its also fun. People will always argue over what they can not prove.

Region, good facts although I find it hard to believe 98% of graduates go to 4 year colleges. Even if they do that doesn't make Andrean the Harvard of the midwest, if parents are dishing out this much tuition they obviously could afford sending their kids through college. As for your USC correlation, I agree like USC Andrean uses very shady methods in attracting their athletes.

What specifically are the shady methods that they use?

one day hopefully all the LC and Munster fans that have watched great talent go down the drain will stop the trash talking of andrean. you complain cuz they have transfers comming in, yet if anyone from andrean took the time to call out others from the region transfering...

To your point, an example off the top of my head, regarding the Munster Varsity Basketball team, I believe Pellar transferred from LC to Munster, Stringer transferred from EC to Munster (any others?) - that's 2 of 10 players (20%). Did 20% of Andrean's state championship baseball team transfer in to Andrean from elsewhere?

I'm sure there are other examples as well.

referring to an early post about Coach Miller of Highland and his response..if i were him id be pissed to..he got played big time..im not a huge baseball fan but i was at a highland game and im not sure if it was against The U of A but if it was then that makes me feel even more bad for Miller for what im going to Say..after the Game i walked out And Saw coach miller talking with Kenny and His dad and they were all smiles and i asked my friend who played baseball what was up and he just told me miller is just trying to make sure kenny is coming to play for highland and i asked him is he? and he told me Kenny and his dad told miller theyd be playing for highland bcuz of the talent they had coming and his cousin johnny and the crop of really good baseball players highland already had and i was like cool highland should be a baseball power again..and since i was in the same class adam and kevin were in when they left for college early lol..i figured alright you took two guys we will keep the third..sadly the mahalas playes Miller and i remember when he heard about them going to andrean the baseball team had there earful about millers thoughts on both mahalas

Miller is a great man. Great coach, and just a first class guy. He is making the best of what he has and from what i heard highland will be a force to be reckoned with this year. Yes, having Mahala would have been without a doubt a huge improvement. But highland will be great this year without him to. As for his decision on going to Andrean. He was just making the smarter decision knowing that Andrean would get more looks by college scouts than Highland would. It payed off for him very well as you can tell by him committing to Ball State. Regardless, he is a great ball player and is a success bc of his hard work, not only bc he went to andrean. The subject is done. What happened has happened. Andrean will never be as good as they were last year but lets focus on this year now. I dont know about anyone else but im excited for a intense, impressive and competetive season of High School baseball this year

MIller is a classy guy and has done a hell of a job with what he was given i was just sayin i felt bad for how he was played by the mahalas..but i think kenny would have gotten just as much recognition in highland i mean highlands had there share of D-1 players i believe Joe Schmal went to ball state? i believe thats where he decided to play...i mean what happened has happened true, but i find it hard not to think how far highland could have done maybe state? idk if they kept the likes of Norton, Kevin and Mahala..i thnk they woulda had the a great Catcher Combo in B.A. and Kevin then the pitching of Livingston, Norton, Fletcher, Musielak, Minch..o the possiblities lol...o and if you like throw in Nick HLadek from CP for poop and giggles

i was just throwing Nick in there to show highland could have had talented teams and couldve gone far in the tourney to give mahala and norton and kevin the exposure people think they wouldnt get if they stayed in highland..plus i think theyd be remembered more for staying here and bringing back highland baseball from its power days in early 90s and 2000s and maybe not bring it to andrean level of course but be up there with CP, LC, Munster and not just be another average to above average sectional match up

The Stringer/Pellar analogy is very weak. Yes, they were on the varsity.

However, they had absolutely zero impact on Munster's success this year.
