The real question is: Why not Ryan Dempster?

Dempster, a former closer (a former all-star closer) would have made an easier move to the bullpen...

Did he say no??


If you have 6 starters (including Gorzelanny and Lilly) and you want to move a RHP to the bullpen....3 of them have NEVER pitched relief (Wells, Silva & Z) and one has....

(Dempster) ..why not move the one who has amd has excelled there... ?

Z had the worse numbers of any of the starters. I am not sure about the move, but I am willing to give it a shot.

Dempster, Wells, and Silva have just been great. Gorzelanny doesnt fit in the pen since they have so many lefties as it is.

But you're trying to SHORE UP the 8th inning..

Not move your first starter there....


Why woud you want to be moving your worst starter to the 8th innng.....

You need a strong an 8th-inning stopper..

Dempster is a former ALL-STAR reliver..


Why not Ryan Dempster?
